Warwickshire Hairstylist's Skills go International

In these times of student rebellion against tuition fees, a Stratford-upon-Avon hairdresser has come up with a unique way of taking the lesson to the student.  Neil Harvey, whose salon is based at Little Alne near Wooton Wawen, has filmed an instruction DVD for hairdressers that will be distributed across the UK and Europe to teach the latest technology for straightening frizzy hair. The Brazilian Blow Dry uses products straight from the Amazon jungle and solves a problem suffered by many women with the frizz factor. The treatment lasts up to four months and is pioneering in terms of hair technology. Neil has been using the system for two years and has become one of the world’s leading experts in the technique. The system has recently been developed so that you can wash your hair as soon as you like after the treatment has been applied, whereas up until now, you had to wait for four days.

Several of the product manufacturing and supply companies throughout Europe are distributing Neil’s tutorial DVD with the product to other hairdressers, which guides them step-by-step through the process.

Neil said, ‘I feel privileged to be able to be able to pass on my knowledge to other hair technicians internationally. I have over thirty years of experience as a hairdresser and technology has developed so much over this period. To be able to share my experience with up-and-coming talent, as well as established hairdressers, adds a new dimension to what I do.’

The benefits and process of Neil’s élan system, which he has developed from the Brazilian Blow Dry can be seen on his website www.neilharvey.co.uk and the treatment is available at his salon at an average cost of  £195 depending on length of hair.
